Oh my god... I've got my 5th grade music theory exam on Wednesday August 23, 2006 in St. Albans Anglican Church in Epping. There are 24 more days till my theory exam and I'm still counting down. For some reason, I don't feel prepared. And if you're doing you're 3rd grade exam, bad luck, you're exam is one week before mine. Muhahahahaha!!!

It's cool how I managed to gobble down eight slices of pizza, two pieces of cake and half a can of softdrink (I threw the other half away)on Yr 7 Focus Day! I didn't even vomit! I was competing with my friends to see who could eat the most. I always have these eating competitions in "Big Breakfasts." The Yr 7 "Ancient Day" is coming up and we will get to have chicken, bread rolls and salad of lunch. I'll see how much I can eat!

Sunday, July 23, 2006

Today's Yr 7 Focus Day! Isn't this cool. We paid seven dollars and we don't have any classes, we get to wear mufti and we get pizza lunch! I wonder what is the focus day - like what do you do?

Toilets: How they're always locked. GRRRR!

The school has only got four toilets that students can access. There's the main one in D block, one in the office, one toilet in the MPC (hall) change room and the toilets in the MPC. The boy's MPC changeroom has been shut down due to vandalism. The toilets in the MPC are usually closed unless the hall is open. The office ones are always open and the D-Block main toilet ones are locked before school and during class times.

You will now have to present your ID card at the reception, get a receipt and use the office toilets. It is practically stupid to lock the D-Block main toilets before school. Many people are busting, and what's more, you have to get a receipt to go to the office toilets?!!!

That is completely outrageous and absurd. Even if they locked the main D-Block toilets, why on earth do you need to get a receipt to use the office toilets before school? It's not only that that is making me angry, its the fact that you also have to hand in the receipt to our roll call teacher.

I never, ever knew accessing a toilet would be so hard. You have to show your ID and get a receipt?! What's next... are they going to lock up the bubblers because some people stuff the taps up?!

Now the school might laugh at us and say: "That's your own problem. You were the people who vandalised the toilets." However, it is inhumane to not let students use the toilets when you've only got one main toilet.

Another error! According to my roll call teacher, I was marked away on Wednesday 14 June, 2006. As far I know, I have not been absent from school yet... not even once! This is the second mistake by the people who enter whether you have been absent or not on the school database.

On Wednesday 14 June, I was on the morning 745 bus which came late and arrived at school late. Therefore, I could not be able to attend roll call. I wasn't the only one who was late because of the bus. Over twenty students were crammed into the reception (or administration - office) to get our late notes. Instead, our principal wrote the names of the late bus people into an exercise book. So, after all, we didn't get late notes.

I just don't understand why marked me absent. It has been almost a week and they haven't entered in the school database I was late because of the 745 bus!

What's happening to our world?

We're currently learning about space and the universe in Science. Our teacher says the Earth with slowly move away from the sun and therefore, the Earth will cool down which means we'll probably have another ice age.

Global warming is natural, except humans are just exaggerating it. According to science, the earth will gradually warm up before it cools down again. But, I thought the exaggerated global warming was heating the world up... I mean every year it seems to get hotter and hotter. i don't feel the "cooling down!"

Will the Sun really explode one day? Will it destroy the whole Solar System. That is actually freaking me out, but it's true. The Sun is going to run out of hydrogen, have no more rays of light and diminish in size. Once the sun is tiny, it will... BOOM... explode and kill all signs of life on Earth. I don't want my grave to be buried in a planet that is going to be dead!!! Ahh!

Chill... This will happen in billions of years. Hopefully by then, humans will find another planet to inhabit on.. hopefully as good as Earth with another nice Sun shining brightly.

Library Card Hacking.

My Ryde Library Services account was hacked today. The account was hacked by a Year 6 boy from Ermington Public School. Legally, we are not allowed to mention that person's name, so lets call him GZ. This is not the only account the hacker has hacked. This person has demonstrated his hacking of somebody else's account in front of me last week.

Fortunately, the hacker did not have enough time to delete and alter my account because I was close by and I heard them mention my name. Apparently, the librarian has changed my PIN number and she has given me a new library card to ensure there will be no more hackings into my library account. The old card has been destroyed with scissors.

If you are thinking to hack into my account, well don't. My five year old PIN was only four digits, my new one is six. If you are still planning to hack, don't think about it.

Why Don't We Get Our Test Papers Back?

I just don't get it. We are not allowed to get back our test papers for our UNSW exams. One teacher that I asked a few weeks ago told me that you would get your test papers back once you get your results. However, the majority of teachers I asked told me that we would not get our test papers back. One of those teachers told me the printing company (of the test papers) would have to take the test papers back.

Why on earth would the printing company want the test papers back?! There was even a space for us to write our names on the front cover of the test paper -- to be exact, it said STUDENTS NAME in bold. And plus, we got our test papers back along with our results in primary school, you read that right -- EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

My friend who is in a different school and was in Year 7 last year actually received his test paper. The price we paid to enter the competition actually included the cost of the test paper. So is it just this school, or is it the whole state?

An enquiry about the test papers is currently being lodged. We'll keep you posted on this issue that has left us baffled.

Today in roll call (7R1) I was put into detention because the roll call teacher thought I didn't have a book. Our normal roll call teacher (a science teacher) wasn't here because she was with the Year 9 Camp.

This substitute roll call teacher, the teacher with gold, greyish year who works for art, (she could even be the head of art, I don't know) put me on to the detention list because during roll call I wasn't reading my book, but I was reading and writing doing my AMEB music theory. And what's more... I actually had my reading book in my bag, except I was doing something else!

This old wart told me that I was not allowed to do school work. I wasn't doing school work. I was doing the work my piano teacher set me! Now guess what... I'm on the detention list. How could I be on the detention list if I was reading and writing?!

Legally, we are not allowed to mention this teacher's name.

At last... finally after a whole term and a few weeks, the bus monitors finally managed a bus that was actually an Eastwood Express. The problem before was that the Eastwood Expresses were normal 743 buses and the bus drivers didn't know that it was only supposed to go to Eastwood. But you can't blame the bus drivers!

I've got more. The 745 afternoon bus back to Eastwood is rubbish (not trying to be rude.) The 743 bus still goes to Eastwood, and the 744 might still go to Eastwood (I can't gurantee that). The 743 bus is actually around ten minutes faster than the 745 express. This is because the 745 is the last bus to leave Ryde Secondary College.

Ryde Secondary College to Eastwood

Fastest Bus: 743 (two 743's usually)

744 might or might not go to Eastwood.

Slowest Bus: 745 (last to leave)

Eastwood to Ryde Secondary College

743: Leaves 7:55AM (the 743 is a new Mercedes Benz natural gas bus)
744: Leaves 7:50AM (the 744 is a Mercedes Benz natural gas bus but can also be an old bus)
745: Leaves 8:20AM (the 745 is a Mercedes diesel bus-two front doors and one back door)

posted by Geebung @ 1:43 PM

The bus monitors are trying to organise a bus that goes directly from Ryde Secondary College to Eastwood station. They are trying to start that bus service next week. It doesn't sound very promising. Remember last time the so-called "Eastwood Express" came at around 3:45PM and it was raining?! That really annoyed me.

3:00PM Monday 27 February, 2006
It is cloudy and rain is sprinkling. The end of school bell rings and people line up waiting for their bus. The deputy principal introduces the new 743 bus... a bus that goes directly to Eastwood.

3:15PM
Everybody has been escorted apart from the people who were lining up for the Eastwood 743.

3:30PM
Still no sign of bus. Deputy prinicipal admits he's made a mistake. He said he thought the Eastwood bus would come. It gets windy and cold. The deputy claims the bus will be at Eastwood in 5 minutes. So promising that the bus only got to Top Ryde in 5 minutes!

3:45PM
Finally a bus comes by. People cheer. The bus is not a 743 bus. However, it was a 621 bus. The bus driver stopped. The deputy went into the bus and told the bus driver to drive us to Eastwood pronto. And he did. We took the shortcut, through Blaxland Road.

3:50PM
Raining. We're at Top Ryde.

4:00PM
Arrive at Eastwood. Miss my next bus.

PUBLISHERS NOTE
There are no exaggerations in this report. The whole report is true and no portions of it have been modified to discriminate the bus system. The "5 minute Eastwood Express" to this day does not exist.

Bus monitors
We simply do not need bus monitors, well I guess we need the principals hanging around, but the "white shirt people" (or the seniors yr11 & yr12) are just a nuisance. They sexually harass, abuse and torture people standing in bus lines. This includes pushing and pulling making life as bad as hell. I'm not the only one being harrassed. There are way more.

As you know, on Friday 12 May, 2006 a few people including me represented the school at the zone cross country. You had two options to get there: go to school and take the bus from there OR have your parents to drive you there. If you went to school, your name would be marked off in roll call. If your parents drove you, your name would not be marked. My parents drove me there and my name wasn't marked off... what's more outrageous... I was marked as absent. What is the problem with the school system? Isn't it obvious I was at zone (I mean the school had a list of which people were going to zone!!!)

And guess what... I'm not alone. A few other people from Year 7 are in the same case. I don't know about the other grades, but I'm expecting there will be more people! This is completely atrocious! I evene asked the office ladies at lunch time, and as I'd expected, I was still forced to bring a note even though it was so obvious I went to zone. It just doesn't make sense!

If you don't bring a note for absence or lateness, you get sent to detention. And guess what.. If I don't bring a note, they'll issue a detention and I won't go to it! Ha... sounds fair enough. I'm not going to detention while I'm innocence. It's interesting to see how absurd the marking system is!

Anyway, I didn't expect my self to get into the next next one... neither did I expect I'd get into zone. I wonder where the next race is at? Ryde Secondary College versed Fort Street, Burwood Girls, Marsden, Hunters Hill and Concord. Junior people had to run one lap (5.6km), 14 and 15 yr boys had to run 1.7 laps and senior buys had to run 2 laps... thats like running from Silverwater to Eastwood.... LOL! The image in this post is the satellite image of where we had to run...

Our zone cross country will be this Friday 12th May, 2006 at Putney Park. We will have to run one lap. Senior people will have to run two laps. I don't really think I will make it to the next one... Is the next one Area? I wonder what's after that... regional, state, national, internation... and maybe even Galactic! LOL...

Cross country was today! IT was slack how all the Yr 7 boys had to run two laps around the school (1.6 km each lap). All the girls had to run only one lap. At the start of the race, I came second, by I slowed down as other people caught up when it was the second lap. So after all I came eighth I think which means I will make it to zone. I wonder what zone's like? I've never been to zone unfortunately.

Bullyeah! I just made it in to Ryde Secondary's Under 14's men's soccer team. At first, I thought I was definitely not going to make it in because the other guys seemed so good. When we had the try outs, I wasn't a so-called "definite" which meant my chances of getting into the team were slim. As you know, a soccer team has eleven players... I'm just a reserve. Two people didn't make it. One couldn't try out because he was injured. One had to be kept on the bench because of his foul language... LOL. I didn't even say an offensive term! Anyway, I'm just lucky.

I bought six goldfish last week... which means I now have eight goldfish because I had two before. Day after day, this silver-white fish's tail kept on getting shorter and shorter... surprisingly, there were also blood stains all over the fish's tail. What on earth could of been going on... It couldn't be chewing away its own tail could it... nooo... of course not... no fish could be that stupid! I observed the fish closely... I didn't miss a millisecond of what it was doing in the fish tank... a minute later, its tail got stuck in the pump. But how could it be that weak!!!

It was just until yesterday, my father saw one of our bigger fishes chasing the poor fish around and biting off its tail.. POOR FISH!!! The fish hid under the seaweed until I transferred the fish to a smaller bowl where it is now... still alive... still well... well sort of... its tails still growing. I also transferred one of this fish's best friend, a beautiful gold colored fish... incase it was bored... as you know, animals need friends just like humans!

Last time when one of my goldfish was sick, my parents seperated the fish to its own seperate bowl on its own... and guess what... within that week, the fish died.

I've also made another interesting discovery. It has come to my attention that when a fish is sick, weak or hurt for example, another goldfish (obviously a friend) would come over and help it around... basically pushing the injured fish. After all, goldfish aren't that brainless! They still have a sense of friendship.

Oh when... oh when can the fish have babies... over these few years (probably four years by now) I've wasted hundreds and hundreds of dollars buying goldfish. They die so, so, so easily. If only they could have babies, I wouldn't invest so much in goldfish. They've never had babies in my fish tank... but some of my friends were lucky... except the fish eggs ever hatched.... LOL! By the way, according to this book I read a few years ago, it said that to have a good chance of fish marrying, you must have at least six fish... you heard that right... six fish... If you buy six small fish, thats around $15 if you've got discounts. Goldfish cost $3 each approximately. My goldfish eat so much seaweed. This has caused me to buy outrageous amounts of seaweed... $2 a bunch at Sydney Markets, Flemington on Sundays.

Holy crud... I lost my wallet at the cinemas yesterday. My friend invited me to come to the cinemas with him and we went all the way to the Cinema 9 Greater Union cinema at Castle Tower to watch the 11:50AM Scary Movie 4. (the shopping centre at Castle Hill). After I finished watching the movie, I lost my wallet. So where the bloody hell could it be? I searched under and between the seats... I found popcorn and lollies. It had only been like two minutes after I had lost the wallet somewhere near my seat and it wasn't there! I'm 100 % sure I lost my wallet there. It had my bus pass and over $10 in cash. And it even says my Dad's phone number. And it says my full name and my high school... they can definitely find who had lost the wallet. Anyway, I didn't have any money to buy lunch... but I wasn't starving..

ROYAL EASTER SHOW
The Royal Easter Show was fun and interesting. Practically, the Easter Show now seems to be all about rides and show bags instead of agriculture, which it is supposed be like. As I said, I bought the Pepsi showbag for eighteen bucks and I also bought the K-Zone show bag for six bucks. Have any of you people been on the sling shot ride? You know the one where you sit in this seat and you fly up lik,e thirty metres into the sky through the big elastic rope? I was too scared to go on it... LOL... but don't laugh at me... I'll bet you a dollar that you wouldn't go on that!!!

So for dinner, I bought McDonalds and when I was still munching on it, we came past the animals. I nearly threw up because of the smell of the horse poo, cow poo, chicken poo... you name it!

The night shows were good... especially the one where the American woman got shot out of the cannon. And the fireworks... the spiralling smoke after flares were shot... I wonder how they did that?

Well, I hope today they find the low class pissworms who stole our stuff. And shockingly, I wasn't the only one. I don't know what happened, but the 743 bus I took today took long routes around Ryde district deliberately. The driver was supervised by another driver who looked more experienced and I'm pretty sure it was driver training.

Why in the hell would Sydney Buses have driver training full of students? Not only has Sydney Buses wasted over ten minutes of our valuable after-school time, but they have also got us in the risk of getting killed in a bus crash, which fortunately didn't occur.

The bus drove over to the other side of West Ryde Station, then took detours through small streets around West Ryde and Denistone, and finally after a staggering 20 minutes (not exaggerating) we finally arrived at Eastwood station just around half past three. It's sorta bad how Sydney Buses treats it's fellow customers.

At last... finally after a whole term and a few weeks, the bus monitors finally managed a bus that was actually an Eastwood Express.

I'm not sure - I had to leave before the presentations. The top six in each race get to go to the next one... I think its called area.

Another stupid error...

Ryde Secondary Under 14's soccer team won again. Last week on Tuesday we just beat Fort Street by one goal... the score was 4-3. Fortunately, we won again beating Balmain by four neil. The score was 4-0.

We're currently studying Ancient China in our history class. We also happen to have two history teachers which means double the homework. Just as I was about to complete a history assignment about Beethoven, the other history teacher buried us in another project. And guess what... we had to write about two or three Chinese inventions AND ALSO make a model of one of our inventions. And what's more outrageous... it was only until this Monday.... you read that right.... I only just finished the model of the Chinese Invention the night before it was due after numerous splinters went into my hand... owww...

Yesterday was Zone Cross Country. The laps were a staggering 5.6 kilometres around Morrison Bay Park and Putney Park. I came like twenty something. I'm not sure - I had to leave before the presentations. The top six in each race get to go to the next one... I think its called area.

Red houses are made of red bricks, orange houses are made of orange bricks, white houses are made of white bricks, black houses are made of black bricks and yellow houses are made of yellow bricks. So, what are green houses made of?

Glass or plastic! (Green houses where you have plants)

Today it was confirmed that I made it into the Zone Cross Country. Ryde Secondary College is versing Marsden, Hunters Hill, Fort Street and a few other local schools in this area.

Today was the UNSW Science Competition. I will probably get a really low mark just because I forgot to bring my ruler and because I didn't bring a calculator. Well, I guess a calculator wasn't needed, but still around ten questions required a ruler. Oh well... Next time I'll remember...

UPDATE (this update was written in the end of Term 2)
I got my results for the science competition. And as I expected, I got a very low mark... PARTICIPATION (o well)

Cross country's on Friday. We've got to run a few laps around the school... Each lap is approximately 1.6 kilometres. My best speed is 7 minutes 32 seconds. Today I full on stuffed up... My time was 7 minutes 40 seconds. I also got 7 minutes 37 seconds once. The best time in our whole class was 5 minutes 15 seconds. But we just had to run one lap...

And so I collected my wallet last night. I checked if everything was in my wallet... Everything was there apart from my $ 5 note. I guess that serves as a reward to the person who found my wallet. Losing $ 5 isn't as bad as losing all my coins plus my bus pass!!!

I contacted the Castle Tower Greater Union Lost Property Unit today and fortunately they have my wallet... BULLYEAH!!! I'm picking up my wallet probably later today. Next time, I'm never, NOT going to put my wallet in my pocket. When ever I put it in my pocket, it always slips out for some reason... GRRRRRRRRR!!!

Here I am in the school library in the morning just before the first bell rings. One of our periods is Art... Last week, somebody stole stuff out of my artkit including the brand new eraser and all my paint brushes. I got a replacement for my three paintbrushes... three OLD paint brushes that the art teacher could find. The eraser? NO REPLACEMENT...

Well, I hope today they find the low class pissworms who stole our stuff. And shockingly, I wasn't the only one. Apparently, some people have their art equipment broken, for example their oil pastel smashed into tiny pieces, and over eight people have had their erasers stolen, excluding the people from the other classes!!!

Today there was a car crash on the big road near Ryde Secondary College. I was on the 744 bus and I saw most of the car crash. Two cars collided into each other at the traffic lights. It was interesting to see how two cars can cause a huge traffic jams. Ambulances, police cars and fire engines surrounded the scene. One of the cars burst into flames.

Finally after three weeks of using bad, slow Linux computers, Ryde Secondary College has decided to upgrade it's computers to Windows Standard Server 2003. The computers are faster now, well, just faster than before.
