Computer screens, as you might already know, damage the human eye because of its constant flickering. To prove it to yourself, grab your webcam and take a picture or even better a video of the computer screen when its turned on. You'll find how much flickering there actually is. We can't see this flickering with the human eye because our bodies adjust the real image of things.
